What Is an Implant-Supported Bridge?
In this video, lab technician John Barnes explains how implant-supported bridges replace multiple missing teeth, from small spans to full-arch restorations, and why they offer strength and long-term stability.
An implant-supported bridge is used to replace multiple missing teeth. It’s created by placing two or more implants and then attaching a bridge that fills in the gaps. In some cases, this may mean connecting just a couple of teeth, while in others it can extend to a full “roundhouse” restoration that replaces all 14 teeth in an arch.
Implant-supported bridges can be done with either mini or traditional implants and are usually screw-retained for strength and stability. With good oral hygiene and proper care, they can last for many years.
