How Does Fix-on-Six Compare to All-on-Four?
In this video, Dr. Robert Ellis explains the Fix-on-6 approach to full-arch restoration and why he sometimes adds extra implants to ensure the best long-term results for patients.
A Fix-on-6 restoration is an excellent option when there’s strong, healthy bone and good stability during implant placement. In this approach, six implants are used to support a full upper or lower arch of teeth.
As your dentist, if I find during surgery that one implant isn’t as strong as expected, I may place one or two additional implants for extra support. When that happens, I always do it at my own cost. My priority is to give you a long-lasting restoration that functions well and keeps you happy, not to cut corners on the number of implants.
