Sometimes, life calls for a fresh start. Maybe it’s starting a new job, moving to a new town, or finally tackling a goal you’ve been putting off. These moments give us a chance to leave old frustrations behind and step into something better. The same is true for your smile. If you’ve been living with missing teeth or loose dentures, full arch dental implants can give you that kind of reset. These implant systems replace an entire row of teeth with a secure and natural-looking restoration. With this treatment, you can enjoy a strong bite, a natural smile, and the confidence that comes with reliability.
What Are Full Arch Dental Implants?
When multiple teeth are missing, it’s easy to think your only options are dentures or just living with the gaps. But dentistry has come a long way. Full arch dental implants offer a more secure and long-lasting alternative, so you don’t have to settle for loose dentures.
Full arch dental implants are a series of small titanium posts that replace your missing tooth roots. We spread these posts throughout your jawbone to support a full set of replacement teeth. This option gives you a smile that looks natural and feels strong. Unlike dentures, which can slip or require adhesives, full arch implants stay firmly in place and allow you to bite, chew, and speak properly.
We often recommend full-mouth implants for patients who have lost all of their teeth (or need them extracted) due to decay or gum disease and for those who are unhappy with the fit and feel of traditional dentures.
Full Arch Dental Implant Systems
If you’re interested in full arch dental implants, the first step is to schedule a free consultation with us. At this visit, we take a 3D cone beam scan and perform an exam to check the height, width, and quality of your bone. We also review your medical history and evaluate your bite (occlusion). All of this helps us determine the type of implants and restoration best suited to your needs.
At West Wind Dental, we offer multiple implant denture systems, so you can choose an option aligned with your goals:
Overdentures (Snap-In Dentures)
With this option, we place 4-8 mini dental implants in your jaw, and your denture snaps onto them for a secure fit. You can remove the denture whenever you want and trust that it’ll stay in place while you wear it.
If you already have a denture, we can often retrofit it by adjusting the base and adding small housings with O-rings. We call this denture fixation or denture stabilization. This lets your denture snap in place for a more secure fit. And because the implants provide stability, the denture doesn’t need the extra bulk that traditional dentures need to stay put.
Many patients love that they can leave the office the same day with teeth that feel steady and comfortable.
Roundhouse Bridges
If you want something more permanent than snap-in dentures, a roundhouse bridge may be the right choice. Like a snap-in denture, a roundhouse bridge replaces all the teeth in your arch. The difference is that it’s more permanent and supported by more implants. It’s also made from premium materials and uses a more refined design that feels slimmer and more natural in your mouth.
Semi-Permanent Roundhouse
A semi-permanent roundhouse is made with high-quality dental porcelain, giving it strength and a natural look. We cement it to 6-10 mini implants, which provides even better stability and function. While you never remove this denture yourself, we’ll detach it at your routine visits for professional cleaning.
If you opt for a semi-permanent roundhouse, we’ll place your implants and then attach a temporary acrylic denture that you’ll wear while your mouth heals. After about 4-8 weeks of healing, we take an impression and the lab makes your custom porcelain bridge. It normally takes about 10-12 days to finish, and then we secure it to your implants for a stable and natural-looking smile.
Permanent Roundhouse
The permanent ceramic roundhouse is our most natural and long-lasting option. Like the semi-permanent version, you’ll wear a temporary while your implants heal. Since there are 10-12 implants, healing typically takes about 6-8 weeks.
Then, the lab makes your ceramic bridge. Sometimes we’ll have you try it in once or twice to get the bite and look just right. Once it’s ready, we secure it to your implants permanently. The result feels and works like natural teeth, and you never have to take it out.
Caring for Full Arch Dental Implants
Your new smile can last for years with the right care. The steps you’ll follow depend on the type of restoration in place:
- Snap-in denture: Take your denture out daily and use a soft toothbrush to clean underneath it. Be sure to brush around the housings and O-rings where food debris can collect. Then gently brush the tops of your implants. They should stay a bright, silvery color when clean.
- Roundhouse bridge: Since this option is fixed in place, you’ll brush it like natural teeth. A water flosser (such as a Waterpik®) is especially helpful for cleaning under the bridge, where food particles can get trapped. If something gets stuck and you can’t remove it, just give us a call. We’re happy to help.
With daily care and regular dental visits, your implants can stay healthy and keep your smile looking its best.

Frequently Asked Questions
For full arch tooth replacement, we often opt for mini dental implants to secure dentures and roundhouse bridges. As a Mini Dental Implant Center of America, West Wind Dental focuses on providing tooth replacement solutions using mini implants. Why? Because they’re simple, effective, and work beautifully even when there isn’t much bone to work with!
Thanks to their small size, we can use an efficient and minimally invasive technique to place mini implants. Not only does that make the procedure itself quick, but it also means healing is easier and more straightforward.
And, unlike traditional two-piece implants, mini implants are a single piece, so they come with fewer complications like peri-implantitis. They’re also more affordable, FDA-approved for use anywhere in the mouth, and have been trusted for decades.
For many patients, mini implants make the implant process smoother, quicker, and more comfortable from start to finish.
We hear this question a lot. The short answer is that getting mini dental implants, regardless of the number, shouldn’t be painful. We administer a local anesthetic to numb the treatment site before we begin. To make things even more comfortable, we can buffer the anesthetic with sodium bicarbonate, which takes away the sting. We also offer sedation options if you’d like to feel more relaxed.
To help with healing, we use techniques like L-PRF (to accelerate your recovery) and may give dexamethasone to reduce swelling.
Our focus isn’t just on your teeth. We care about the entire experience. Most patients are surprised by how smooth and easy the process feels.
The cost depends on your needs and the type of restoration you choose. The most economical option is the snap-in denture, where we retrofit your existing denture onto 4 mini implants in the lower jaw (around $6,000). The upper arch usually requires 6 mini implants because the bone isn’t as dense.
Roundhouse bridges, which use more implants and premium materials, cost more, but they also provide the most natural and permanent results. The good news is that mini implants cost less than traditional implants, making them a more affordable way to get a secure, long-lasting smile.
