What Is a Roundhouse Dental Bridge?
In this video, Dr. Robert Ellis discusses how patients with removable dentures can transition to a fixed, permanent solution using mini implants, and why their long-term reliability makes the upgrade straightforward.
Often, patients who start with a removable denture later decide they want something more permanent and less cumbersome. In these cases, we can transition to a fixed option by adding additional mini implants.
Mini implants make this process much easier than traditional implants. Traditional systems change over time, and it can be challenging to find replacement parts for older models. Mini implants, however, haven’t changed in over 40 years. They’re simple, reliable, and highly effective.
For example, if a patient has an implant-supported acrylic denture and wants to upgrade to a fixed ceramic option (called a Roundhouse), we can place a few more mini implants to provide enough support. The Roundhouse is then permanently secured, giving you a stable, natural-looking full-arch restoration.
