How Long Do Mini Dental Implants Usually Last?

In this video, Dr. Robert Ellis discusses how long dental implants last and what you can do to maximize their longevity.

One of the most common questions we get is: How long do implants last? The truth is, with proper care, they can last a lifetime. Dental implants are FDA-approved to replace any or all teeth, and research has shown they work just as well as traditional implants.

Their longevity depends on how well you take care of them. Using a water flosser, keeping them clean, and maintaining good oral hygiene all make a big difference. Even with moderate home care, implants can last decades. For example, I placed four implants for my own mother 18 years ago, and they lasted her entire life.
