For mild relaxation, we provide nitrous oxide (laughing gas) upon request. We can also prescribe Valium, which helps reduce anxiety, though patients must arrange for someone to drive them to and from the appointment.<\/p>\n<p>For patients who need a deeper level of comfort, we also provide IV sedation. In these cases, a nurse anesthetist comes in to monitor your sedation, heart rate, and overall safety while I focus on your dental care.
