In most cases, we can place mini dental implants and adapt the existing denture by adding housings with O-rings that connect to the implants. This can often be done on the same day as surgery, so you leave with your own denture, only now it\u2019s stabilized and more secure.<\/p>\n<p>There is one important consideration. With improved stability, you\u2019ll be able to chew with much more force. While this makes eating far easier, the increased pressure can sometimes cause older acrylic dentures to crack. If that happens, or if we anticipate higher forces, we recommend having a new denture made with a metal reinforcement.
